Democracy
Here are my theoretical thoughts on democracy. In shaping democracy we do our best, but we have to admit ourselves that democracy can never be perfect. At best it may be good enough for most, but never perfect.
Shaping democracy is a continuous and never ending process.
Freedom of speech is an essential part of democracy.
Discussion about anything should never be suppressed by any party. If a government discourages people to talk about certain subjects, it limits freedom of speech and democracy. This has taken place a number of time in my country.
Democracy could be called as a dynamic process, not a dogmatic theory.
Democratic thoughts should follow all human interests.
Democracy should be practical. It should defend people's rights, as well as their duties.
All people are equal. All people have the right to express their opinion.
All nations are equal.

Discussion and information, no to censorship!
In my country politicians have set a trap into which media has fallen. Once the media has been silent on something, it must continue its silence. Actually this silence is censorship and lying. Little by little the media loses its credibility.
If silence continues for years or even decades, the people will become totally unaware of hidden subjects. This has taken place in my country, Finland.
The media should be independent from the rulers. In real democracy there should not be censorship nor hidden subjects.
In real democracy there cannot be secrets known by the elite only. People should know all the relevant facts about laws and history. In real democracy media hides nothing.
The importance of objective truth to democracy - this is very important to any society. Science cannot exist without truth. Like many other thing in our lives, democracy should be based on objective truth.
