Men beheaded by Swedish government
Finnish men living in Western Sweden were decapitated in public by the Swedish government in Stockholm in the 17th century. These decapitations were particularly brutal murders, because all men's hands and feet were cut off by executioner before decapitation.
The beheaded Finns had demonstrated to oppose the ban of burn-clearing in the province of Tividen, western part of the country. Queen Christina's government imprisoned their leaders and later executed five men. Two of them were transferred to Stockholm, and their all limbs were cut off before cutting the head in public.
The historical persecution of the Finns has been strictly censored for decades by the media and Finns' education system. Also the universities of Finland have always been silent on this issue. Obviously Finnish governments have ordered this issue to be censored.
